Amazon Cookie Cleaner ("the extension") is a free Chrome extension developed by Welch Commerce Systems. This privacy policy explains what data the extension accesses, what it stores, and what it does not do.

Data the extension accesses

The extension reads cookies on amazon.com and sellercentral.amazon.com domains. This access is the core function of the extension and is necessary to identify which cookies are essential for the user's login session and which are tracking, advertising, or analytics cookies that should be deleted to prevent the "400 Bad Request" error.

The extension does not read cookies on any other domain.

Data the extension stores

The extension stores a single piece of information locally on the user's device using Chrome's storage API: the date and time of the user's most recent cookie cleanup. This timestamp is displayed in the extension popup as "Last cleaned: [date]" so the user can see when they last used the tool.

This timestamp is stored on the user's local device only and is never transmitted anywhere.

Data the extension does not collect or transmit

The extension does not collect, transmit, store off-device, sell, share, or otherwise process any of the following:

• Personally identifiable information (name, email, address, etc.)
• Authentication credentials, passwords, or security tokens
• Cookie contents or values
• Browsing history or web activity
• Page content from amazon.com or any other site
• IP addresses, geolocation, or device identifiers
• Usage analytics or telemetry

The extension does not phone home, does not contact any external server, and does not use any analytics services.

Third parties

The extension does not share any data with third parties because the extension does not collect any data to share. The extension does not include analytics SDKs, advertising networks, or any other third-party code.

Permissions explained

The extension requests the following Chrome permissions:

• cookies: required to read and delete cookies on Amazon domains
• storage: used only to save the local timestamp of the last cleanup
• tabs: used only to open welchcommercesystems.com in a new tab when the user clicks the footer link
• host_permissions for *.amazon.com: required to access cookies on Amazon domains
